The Presbyterian Mission Center went from idea to reality in a matter of months. God's guidance and generous individual and church donors, combined with existing budgets and resources solidified this new partnership. The Presbyterian Mission Center was dedicated April 2, 2006, to further the ministry of Jesus Christ through the Presbyterian Church (USA) and its mission partners. In addition to offices for the Synod of the Sun, Grace Presbytery, Texas Presbyterian Foundation and Faith Hospice, the building features classroom, conference rooms and chapel space for ministry to the larger church and community. In 2005 Grace Presbytery was unexpectedly in need of a new location at the same time Synod of the Sun was facing the renewal of a five-year lease. After considering other properties this building in Las Colinas was chosen, purchased and renovated. Texas Presbyterian Foundation is obligated under its lease in downtown Dallas , but will later move into the mission center. Faith Hospice, Inc. (part of Grace Presbyterian Ministries) joined the partnership from the beginning as a tenant who worked closely with funding and property development. Please call or drop in for a tour of your Presbyterian Mission Center . All are welcome! |
